let’s assume we’re in 2050 and ai has continued to advance. musk and bezos are now supreme leaders of mars and have used ai to identify and communicate with other forms of life in the universe. they’ve taken all their followers along to create a “better planet” — one that they believe will be superior as defined by their vanity metrics. they’ve left us earthlings with two things before leaving Earth; we know there’s no meaning or purpose to life and we burned a ton of Earth’s resources to power ai to get to this point. but at least we can still Live. even in this future, i could find happiness and meaning in the absurdity of life.
